Photo by Channel 91 Photography The Mississippi St. Bulldogs are coming into Death Valley Saturday 2-0 with wins versus Memphis & Arizona. Mike Leach's Air Raid offense put 49 & 39 points in both contests, which should have the Tigers first year defensive coordinator Matt House very concerned. The Bulldogs quarterback Will Rogers threw for 450 yards & 5 touchdowns versus Memphis, then came back against Arizona & threw for 313 yards & 4 touchdowns. And he has done a great job of spreading the ball around to four different receivers with 10 receptions or more. Oh & by the way, Rogers threw for 371 yards, 3 touchdowns, & 1 interception versus the Tigers last season. Zack Arnette is the best defensive coordinator Mike Leach has had since arriving to Starkville three years ago. His defense has forced 5 turnovers the first two games & expect Arnette to bring exotic pressure to confuse the Tigers offensive line. And with Jaiden Daniels looking like a one read & bail quarterback, that won't bold well for him on Saturday. Keys to LSU Winning - 1.) Running back John Emery & the rest of the Tigers' backfield having a good game to control the clock & keep that Air Raid offense off of the field as much as possible. 2.) LSU's defense being able to tackle in space against the short passing game 3.) Jaiden Daniels being able to complete passes down the field to his big play receivers 4.) The offensive line being able to protect Daniels versus the blitz 5.) Winning the time of possession & special teams. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CHECKOUT THE FULL EPISODE!! Senior quarterback Grayson Saunier was hitting on all cylinders in week 1 versus H.L Bourgeois leading his team to a 56-7 win to start the season. Saunier finished the game with 5 total touchdowns (3 rushing & 2 passing) & gave the Braves defense fits the entire night because of his ability to make plays with his legs. The Lions defense was outstanding much of the night forcing 3 turnovers along with only giving up one touchdown.
