The St. James Wildcats improved to (2-1) after a dominant win against the Thibodaux Tigers (1-2) last Friday 49-25. A big reason for that was because of senior Kaden Williams who had an outstanding performance with 331 yards rushing on only 16 carries & 4 touchdowns. Williams struck early on the first possession of the game with a 79 yard touchdown run to put the Wildcats up 6-0. The Tigers would drive all the way down the field to the 1 yard line, but the Wildcats defense was able to hold them to a field goal making 6-3 with 7:23 left in the first quarter. Quarterback Braden Williams then hooked up with (LSU Commit) Khai Prean on a 7 yard touchdown pass to put the Wildcats up 12-3 late in the first quarter. The Wildcats defense came up with a big turnover when Jaden Aubert picked off a pass at their own 33 yard line. Williams would then find Kobe Brown for a 41 yard touchdown pass to extend their lead 20-3 with 11:23 left in the second quarter. The Tigers would respond after Kanye Holmes scored on a 1 yard run to cut the lead to 20-10 in the second. Kaden Williams would score on runs of 36 & 99 yards to give the Wildcats a 34-10 lead late in the second. Braden Williams added salt to the womb right before halftime with a dart he threw to Kobe Brown for a 13 yard touchdown pass in the corner of the end zone to make the score 41-10 at the break. The Wildcats would only score one time in the second half & it came from a 18 yard run that gave Kaden Williams his fourth touchdown of the night. St. James will face Assumption & Thibodaux will take on district opponent East St. John this Friday. TO CHECKOUT FULL HIGHLIGHTS & INTERVIEWS CLICK THE LINK BELOW!!
