Zachary Headed To It’s Second Straight State Championship

The defending Class 5A Champions Zachary Broncos entered Wednesday’s semifinal matchup against No. 5 Ouachita with a 30-game win streak, and they looked every bit the No. 1 seed in a 75-60 victory against the Lions.
The Broncos got off to a hot start in the first leading 18-8. Jordan DeCuir’s 17 first half points played a big part on why Ouachita trailed 48-25 at the half.

Ouachita never got within 10 points the rest of the game & it was mainly because Zachary shot 46% from the field.

Jordan DeCuir led all scorers with 24 points & Jalen Bolden finished with 15 points for Zachary.
Zachary will be looking to repeat as 5A state champs as they take on Northshore Saturday at 8 PM.
