The 4 star cornerback Chester Kimbrough made it official on Monday night committing to the University of Florida via twitter. Many close to Kimbrough wasn’t surprised at all by his decision to commit to this program because of his love for the Gators dating back to when he was in middle school. t’s no secret that the talented cornerback has been high on many big time programs’ radar for some time now, with LSU being one of them. LSU offered Kimbrough this past June at their elite prospect camp, but the sense was Florida had too much of an edge over the home state school already. Dan Mullen was hired as head coach by Florida last November & they waisted no time offering the stud cornerback 3 months later in February. It’s evident that Dan Mullen & his staff did a hell of job recruiting Kimbrough these last six months which led to him committing on Monday night. Kimbrough currently hold offers from LSU, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, & a host of others. With Kimbrough committing right before the start of the season, this takes a lot of weight off of his shoulders so that he can focus on helping a talented Warren Easton team make a run at that 4A state title. Expect Kimbrough to have a lights out senior year & play a vital role in whether that Warren Easton defense can get over the hump this season or not.

The University of Florida is not the great team that it once was. Quite frankly, there is no way that they are winning a championship this year. The problem lies in their lack of talent, especially when it comes to their recent recruits. I would really love to see a five star player to enter the University of Florida. I am really hopeful that Warren Easton's Chester Kimbrough decided to commit to this team, they would be a really fun team to watch.
