Warren Easton impressed in the last exhibition game before the real season starts on Thursday versus Jesuit. The Eagles’ defense was stout all night holding the Purple Knights offense to only 127 yards of total offense. It’s no secret that Eagles have one of the best 1-2 punches in the state with dual-threat quarterback Lance Legendre & running back Ashaad Clayton. Legendre threw for 3 touchdowns to receivers Alred Luke, Kiaeem Green, & Kentrell Boyd. Clayton rushed for 95 yards on just 10 carries. All in all the Eagles looked like they will be one of the best teams in 4A again & have everybody waiting for the highly anticipated matchup week 10 versus district foe Edna Karr.
