Terrebonne took care of business in week 1 of the regular season with a 29-7 win over archrival Ellender. After being down 7-6 for much of the first half, the Tigers got a clutch touchdown by running back Chaz Ward right before the half to put his team up 13-7. The talented Terrebonne team displayed that they have a number of players that they can get production from on any given night. Senior T.J Ruffin was terrific on both sides of the ball scoring on a 12 yard touchdown run & catching a big interception in the fourth quarter. Ruffin showed his versatility all game lining up at receiver & running back giving the Tigers an added dimension teams will have to prepare for all season. Senior running back Chaz Ward finished the game with 82 yards & 2 touchdowns. Ward was a load to tackle all night & he gave the Ellender defense fits every time he got to the second level.
