Karr Puts The State On Notice with Convincing 33-19 Win Over John Curtis

Edna Karr took care of business vs John Curtis 33-19 on last Friday in a game televised by ESPN2. The most dynamic player in the state Aaron Anderson *LSU commit* got the Cougars on the board first with a 91 yard punt return for a touchdown.

Karr quarterback A.J Samuel took matters into his own hands on 10 yard touchdown run and then a 35 yard touchdown pass to Yarun McMath to put the Cougars up 19-0 at the half in the opener for both teams.
John Curtis would not go away without a fight when Buddy Taylor would cut the lead to 19-6 after a 59 yard touchdown run.

But, Aaron Anderson would respond quickly with a 88 yard touchdown return on the ensuing kickoff to put the Cougars up 25-6. 
Curtis QB Buddy Taylor would add a 47 yard touchdown run making it 25-12 with 7:12 left in the third. 
One of the biggest takeaways from the night was the Cougars’ defensive line.

​Junior defensive end Jonathan Bax showed his athleticism chasing down Taylor to get a sack in the end zone for a safety to make the score 27-12. 

Anderson put his final mark on the game after he took the kickoff 51 yards for another return touchdown to make it 33-12. He finished with 290 all-purpose yards on nine touches and three scores.
Buddy Taylor would connect with Michael Turner on a 43 yard touchdown pass on the final score of the game for the Patriots.
