Everyone knows in sports it’s hard to beat a team three times, but the Hahnville Tigers made it a point not to let that cliche stand in their way of advancing.

Hahnville came into the playoffs as the number 10 seed & Thibodaux the number 23 seed.

Hahnville was in control much of the game up until the fourth quarter leading 50-35 with a little over six minutes left in regulation. Thibodaux would fight back to go on a 15-3 run to make it 53-52 with just over three minutes left to play. Thibodaux Senior Kyren Lacy would be called for a technical foul which led to five straight free throw makes by Hahnville putting them up 58-52 with 2:16 left in the game.

Senior J’Mari Carter would then knockdown a big corner three for Thibodaux to make it 58-55. With 22 seconds left in the game senior Kyren Lacy would knockdown a deep three for Thibodaux cutting the lead to 62-60.

Sophomore Tyren LeBeauf would hit 1 of 2 free throws making it 63-60 with 14 seconds left in the game. Thibodaux would get possession, but senior Tyren Young was hit with a technical foul after he called for a timeout with none remaining in the game.

LeBeauf would go to the line & hit 2 of 2 to help Hahnville close the door to win the game 65-60.

Junior Kaden Pierre led all scorers with 18 points, 13 rebounds, & 2 blocks for Hahnville. Junior Claudell Harris& sophomore Tyren LeBeauf both finished with 14 points a piece.
