The former 5-star WR committed to his home state school on Sunday & gave the Tigers probably the most electrifying piece for this 2023 class. Head coach Brian Kelly expressed all season that his team needed to get better in the return game & better in space. Well bringing Anderson into the fold definitely will help with that. "My heart has always been with LSU & I knew this where I needed to be," Anderson said. "I loved my time at Alabama, but I had to do what was best for my career. The coaches showed me a lot of different ways they're going to get me the ball & that was a major factor. I know I'll be able to make plays returning kicks, but I can't wait to show my skills at receiver too." The Tigers are bringing in 5 WRs including Anderson for this 2023 class & with the WRs that's returning, this could possibly be the deepest & most talented group on the team come next season. "With the receivers we're going to have next season, I don't see any team that'll be able to stick us man to man," Anderson said. "I've been texting with Kyren Lacy & Malik Nabers already, so I'm just ready to get to work so we can do something special." Anderson is not your typical 5-foot-9 receiver because he plays bigger than his frame. Don't be surprised if the Tigers use him all over the field next season. "I like how they don't plan to use me as just a slot receiver," Anderson said. "I'll be playing outside too which I'm very comfortable at either position. I feel like I'll be able to make plays no matter where I'm lined up at & once I get the ball in my hands I'll know what to do with it (chuckles)." This LSU coaching staff has done a phenomenal job with this recruiting class thus far & as of today the Tigers have the No. 5 ranked class in the country. "Coach J (Jordan Arcement) *Recruiting Specialist* made this decision very easy for me because he took a lot of his time to show me how I can be successful at LSU as long as I come in & work hard," Anderson said. "I didn't really know what to expect from this new staff, but Coach J made me feel comfortable from the beginning & I like how he keeps it real about everything. And coach Frank (Wilson) was a big help in this transition from Alabama with his experience coaching so long & him being from New Orleans." Anderson says he will wear No. 1 next season.
