4 star defensive back Devin Bush left the University of Virginia throughly impressed after this weekend on his first official visit. Coach Mendenhall & his staff did an outstanding job hosting Bush & his parents throughout the weekend, giving the 4 star prospect a lot to think about going forward. “It felt like home as soon as I got off the plane,” Bush said. “I really enjoyed spending time in the meetings with coach Howell just paying attention to how he moves around & interacts with his players.” With Bush having so many major power 5 offers, many were shocked that Virginia was able to get the talented New Orleans native on campus for an official visit. Virginia has been invading the boot as of late offering some of the state’s premier prospects & spending a lot of time at some of the schools of these prospects. The Louisiana charge is led by coach Ricky Brumfield (New Orleans native) & regional scout Jordan Arcement. “I felt so comfortable with all of the coaches & players that it made me feel like we had been knowing each other,” Bush said. “Me & my parents got to even go ride horses, which was a nice experience. Virginia definitely left a big impression on me & my family. I feel this program has all the tangibles it take to provide me with a great education & put me in position to go to the league.” Virginia made an even better case for themselves after beating #16 ranked Miami on the weekend & improving their record to 4-2 on the season. Bush is set to take his next official visit to the University of Arkansas November 10th when they take on home state school LSU. The Arkansas program has been making a heavy push for the 4 star prospect hoping they can land yet another New Orleans native to their roster. All in all it seems Virginia has a hell of a chance to land Bush, & if they do this could entice University High talented 3 star running back Michael Hollins to commit to the Cavaliers as well. Hollins went on an official visit to Virginia earlier this month & has the Cavalier program as one of his favorites.
