The No. 3 WR & No. 15 overall prospect in Louisiana according to 247Sports decided to call LSU home on Tuesday. The Tigers now have 21 commits for the 2023 class & their fourth receiver commit. The St. James High receiver currently holds over 20 plus offers & adding him to a stacked class will put the Tigers in the mix to finish with a top 5 recruiting class for sure.
“Committing now gives me a chance to relieve some stress so I can focus on my team & the season,” Prean said. “Being able to represent my home state & play with some of the best players in the country is special.”
For some months many believed that Auburn & Florida St were the front runners over the Tigers to land Prean. But over the last few weeks the Tigers staff made a tremendous impression on Prean & his family.
“My relationships with Coach Jordan (Arcement), Coach Hankton, & Coach Carter was different than the old staff,” he said. “It’s bigger than football with them & they make me confident that this somewhere I’ll be happy at.”
“Auburn was a school I was high on for a while because of my connection to Trovon Reed,” Prean said. “I visited up there a few times & I loved the atmosphere there. I really like what Auburn had to offer.”
At 6- feet, 190 pounds Prean possesses a unique skill set because of his experience playing running back & receiver. He’s also very dynamic as a return specialist which I see him making a impact for the Tigers when he arrives.
