Zachary Holds Off Late Run By Woodlawn

he No. 2 team in 5A Zachary Broncos improved to (5-0) after being able to hold off a late 4th quarter rally by Woodlawn (0-3) to win 35-28.
After a 49-yard touchdown run by senior running back Connor Wisham, the Broncos went up 35-14 with 11:11 left in the 4th quarter.

The Panthers quarterback Rickie Collins scored two touchdowns running on consecutive drives to cut the lead to 35-28 with 3:05 left in the game.

Head coach David Brewerton’s decision to call a fake punt on 4th & 5 on Woodlawn’s 40 yard line with 1:02 left in the game would be the nail in the coffin.
