LSU got in the running for St. James 2023 ATH Khai Prean after coach Frank Wilson & Cortez Hankton offered him last week. Prean is clearly one of the most gifted athletes in the state and it was only a matter of time until the Tigers got on board. “It feels good to finally get offered by my home state school LSU,” Prean said. “Coach Wilson & coach Hankton let me know that I’m the type of player that can make a big impact in their program.” The Tigers only have two prospects committed for the 2023 class so far. North Caddo high school WR Omarion Miller & TE Mac Markway (Saint Louis, MO). Could the Tigers be on track to get a commitment from Prean soon?? “I like the plan coach Kelly has brought to LSU,” Prean said. “He talks about the program graduating champions & that really let me know that he wants education to be just as important as football is.” Prean currently has offers from premier programs like Michigan, Michigan St, Florida St, Auburn, Tennessee, & a host of others. “I’ve got a chance to visit Auburn, Florida St, & UL-Lafayette so far,” he said. “This summer I plan to visit & camp at a lot more schools though. I plan to make a decision on where I’m going sometime this summer before the start of my senior year.” It’s no doubt that Prean is a must get for the Tigers this class. If the Tigers can land Catholic WR Shelton Sampson & Prean to go with already committed Omarion Miller, that’ll give them the top three ranked receivers in the state for 2023.
