The Ellender Patriots are riding a 6-game winning streak that has them 15-9 overall & 5-0 in district play. They're currently at No. 13 in the power rankings & if the Patriots can win out throughout district they'll have a good chance to get in the top 10 going into the playoffs. District rival South Terrebonne attempted to stand in the Patriots way on Monday night to try & improve their seeding as well, the Gators are currently No. 11 in the power rankings. The Patriots defeated the Gators 51-46. Preston Bourda led all scorers with 22 points & Terrell Carter finished with 13 points for the Patriots. South Terrebonne falls to 17-6 overall & 3-2 in district. February 18 these two will face off again for the season finale & it could have major playoff implications. The Patriots have looked quite impressive throughout this win streak, most notably against district opponent Vandebilt Catholic where they dominated the Terriers winning 65-35.
