On Sunday, the 3-Star safety out of Destrehan High School committed to Ole Miss. Robinson is the No. 10 overall player in Louisiana according to 247Sports & received an offer from the Rebels way back in February. Louisiana native Pete Golding (defensive coordinator) led the charge in landing yet another top prospect from the boot. "I didn't want to wait because I knew Ole Miss was the right place for me," Robinson said. "They put a lot into recruiting me during this process. Everybody there preach about being a better man & how to be a better overall player, that's what I need to be around in order to be in the best possible position whether it's the NFL or a different career path." Robinson recently visited Notre Dame for an elite camp & TCU for an official visit who were also in his top 3 schools. And at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, he will be an excellent fit in Pete Golding's system on the next level because of his history of putting safeties in the NFL. "Coach Pete (Golding) & coach Neighbors plan on having me all over the field in the secondary," Robinson said. "They check on me everyday so my relationship with those two guys are great." Playing wide receiver was where Robinson started his high school career at, but after his sophomore year he made the switch to safety & it paid off big time especially with his recruitment. "I switched to defense because we needed a safety & I wanted to make an impact for my team to put us in the best position to win," Robinson said." Robinson has 4 official visits remaining & says that he might take one more official visit to Notre Dame during the fall.
