U-High Hitting Strides Early In The Season

The Cubs won 35-0 vover Dunham in convincing fashion Thursday night on the road at Dunham Stadium.

U-High improved to 3-0 on the year & dynamic athlete Jason Barnes has played a big part in that the last two weeks. Barnes ran for a touchdown, had a receiving touchdown, & also threw for a touchdown versus Dunham. 
The Tigers were clearly outmatched versus one of the most talented teams in the state regardless of class. Also in the game, running back Derrick Graham scored on a 7 yard touchdown run & Edan Stagg scored on a 75 yard touchdown catch. 

University Lab Cubs gave the Woodlawn Panthers all they could handle with a score of 34-14 on last Friday. 
U-High RB Derrick Graham scored from 5 yards out to give the Cubs a 7-0 lead with 6:53 left in the first.
Then, Woodlawn QB Rickie Collins hit Jaylon Henry on a 31 yard dart for a TD, extra point was blocked trailing the Cubs 7-6 in the first.

U-High ATH Jason Barnes returned a kick 71 yards for a touchdown putting his team up 14-6 in the first. Woodlawn QB Rickie Collins hit Jayveon Haynes on a screen pass for a 67 yard touchdown. 2 pt conversion would be good tying the game at 14 with 1:58 in the first. 

The Cubs would get touchdown runs of 4 & 43 by Derrick Graham & Brian Beck to go up 27-14 in the third. And then, QB Blake Abney hit Jason Barnes on a slant that went 62 yards for a touchdown that would end up being the final score 34-14.
