Lucas Goes Crazy In Comeback Win Versus The Gators

The Gators started off the game 14-0 with standout quarterback Christian Arceneaux throwing a 2 yard touchdown pass to Kaden Chauvin & Henry Lirette would recover a bad snap in the end zone. 

The Tigers would finally get on the scoreboard after a 8 yard touchdown run by Donivan Harris in the second quarter cutting the lead to 14-7. The Tigers two sport athlete Chavez Brown took a punt back 53 yards for a touchdown that would tied the game at 21 going into halftime. 

With much of the second half going back & forth between the two teams, Terrebonne’s Jaylin Lucas would put his team on his back to will them to a win. 
First play of the second half Lucas would take it the distance for 68 yards to give his team a 28-21 lead. 

The Gators would run off 14 points straight with quarterback Christian Arceneaux hitting Kaden Chauvin on a 28 yard touchdown pass & then Colby Chelette would score on a 6 yard touchdown run giving them a 34-28 lead with 11:51 left in the fourth quarter.

Lucas scored again on a 22 yard scamper that would tie the game at 34 with 6:49 left in the fourth. The Tigers defense would stand tall & force the Gators to punt with a little under two minutes left in the game. 

Taking over at their own three yard line, the Tigers would call Lucas’s number once again & it would pay off in a big way after taking an inside handoff 97 yards for a touchdown with 1:51 remaining in the game. 

​The Gators would drive down the field, but the Tigers cornerback Aavion Pierce would seal the deal with an interception in the end zone with 20 seconds left to give his team their first win of the seaso

Jaylin Lucas was phenomenal finishing the game with 291 yards rushing, 49 yards receiving & 4 touchdowns for the Tigers. 
Christian Arceneaux finished the game with 180 yards passing & 2 touchdowns for the Gators. Javon Ricksfinished with 120 yards rushing for the Gators. 
Noted : South Terrebonne defensive lineman Ty’ren Martin went down with an injury and was carted off the field and taken to the hospital. Gators coach Archie Adams said Martin suffered a head/neck injury.
