Walker High School’s Jalen Cook helped his team win a Class 5A title as a sophomore and then enjoyed a breakout junior year where he won Gatorade Player of the Year. He averaged 29.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.8 steals for a Wildcats team that finished as the Class 5A runner-up after falling to Thibodaux High. This past season Cook went over 3,000 points for his career & averaged over 30 ppg. He’s ranked the No. 2 prospect in Louisiana for 2020 behind point guard and Virginia signee Reece Beekman of Scotlandville. The LSU signee took the time out & did a zoom interview with G-Sportz discussing why he chose LSU, his experience playing on the Under Armour circuit, & much more
