HOUMA – Terrebonne’s offense showed no signs of slowing down Friday night, as the Tigers rode monster performances from running back Quincy “Bear” Adams and quarterback Owen Oliver to a 52-38 victory over district rival Hahnville. The win keeps Terrebonne unbeaten at 4-0, while Hahnville drops to 3-1.

The game opened with both defenses tested early. Hahnville went for it on 4th-and-1 in the red zone, but Terrebonne stuffed the attempt and took over at its own 17. Two plays later, Adams broke free for a 36-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers the early edge.

Hahnville immediately answered. After Al-Jarreau Walker’s 68-yard kickoff return set up prime field position, quarterback Landen Teague connected with Bennett Naquin on a 26-yard strike to tie the game.

From there, the fireworks truly began. Oliver found T.J. Diggs on a 13-yard score late in the first, but Hahnville’s Fabian Celestine answered with a 2-yard run midway through the second. Adams countered with his second rushing touchdown of the half, only for Teague to hit Kevias Singleton to tie things again at 21.
With the half winding down, Terrebonne delivered the backbreaker. Oliver unleashed an 80-yard bomb to Alvin Celestin, then capped the half with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Diggs with just three seconds remaining. That gave the Tigers a 35-24 halftime lead.

Adams and Oliver continued to punish the Hahnville defense after the break. Adams bulldozed in from 3 yards for his third score, and Terrebonne added a field goal to extend the margin to 45-24. Teague scrambled for an 11-yard score late in the third, but Terrebonne’s defense made a critical 4th-down stop in the red zone with 5:22 left in the fourth.
That set up the knockout punch: Adams rumbled 64 yards for his fourth touchdown of the night to put the Tigers ahead 52-31 with just over three minutes remaining. Hahnville added a late Celestine score, but it was too little, too late.
Adams finished with another staggering stat line: 21 carries for 291 yards and four touchdowns. Over the last two weeks, the senior has racked up 593 rushing yards and seven scores. Oliver was equally sharp, completing passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns.

“This was a statement,” Terrebonne head coach Tyler Lewis said. “Our offense is dangerous because we can hurt you in so many ways. Quincy set the tone, Owen was locked in, and our defense got stops when it mattered.”
With the win, Terrebonne stays unbeaten  at 4-0, while Hahnville falls to 3-1.

Houma – The Terrebonne Tigers proved its early-season success is no fluke. Powered by a career night from senior running back Quincy Adams, the Tigers knocked off previously unbeaten St. James 28-8 on Friday, improving to 3-0 and handing the Wildcats their first loss of the year.

The opening quarter showcased two stout defenses. Terrebonne marched into the red zone on its first possession, only to be stopped on 4th down by the Wildcats. But the Tigers’ defense returned the favor, forcing a turnover on downs of their own and setting up the game’s first score. Two plays later, Adams broke through for a 12-yard touchdown to give Terrebonne a 7-0 lead with 4:13 left in the first quarter.

St. James answered in the second. Running back Kani King-Young powered in from 15 yards, and with a successful two-point conversion, the Wildcats briefly grabbed the lead at 8-7 with 4:54 left in the half.
Adams had the response ready. With less than a minute before halftime, he slipped through the defense for a 13-yard touchdown run, putting Terrebonne back on top 14-8 at the break.

The Tigers’ ground game wore St. James down in the second half. Adams scored his third touchdown of the night on an 8-yard run with 10:46 left in the fourth, and junior back Sahj Ruffin capped the night with a 7-yard score five minutes later to make it 28-8. Defensive back Chase Stewart sealed the victory with an interception late in the fourth.

Adams was the undeniable story of the night, piling up 296 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just 21 carries. His blend of power and explosiveness kept the Wildcats’ defense off balance all evening.

Adding to the intensity was the emotional backdrop: Terrebonne head coach Tyler Lewis spent multiple seasons as a defensive backs coach at St. James before taking over the Tigers’ program.
“This one meant a lot,” Lewis said afterward. “I have to do a better job of keeping my emotions in check. I’ve got nothing but respect for St. James, but our kids showed heart and toughness tonight. Quincy set the tone, and the defense came up big when we needed it.”

With the win, Terrebonne improves to 3-0, while St. James falls to 2-1.
